Objects for the Threshold is a special retail exhibition dedicated to the intimate rituals of arrival and departure. The collection of handcrafted works explores the threshold as a space where inside meets outside, and where we transition between public and private life.
This edition brings together 25 Bay Area–based artists and designers, each contributing concept-driven works that reinterpret the objects that greet us at the entryway. Wall mirrors, key hooks, trays, mail holders, and shoe stools reframe their functional forms as expressions of transition and pause. Working across traditional craft practices and experimental sculptural media, the participants crafted small-edition works designed for daily use.
